Peabody Mason International Piano Competition Repertoire List

Each submission must include one work from each of the following categories:

 

FIRST CATEGORY

Any Nocturne of Chopin

• SECOND CATEGORY

Any Mazurka of Chopin

 THIRD CATEGORY

A major, large-scale work from the following: Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise, Sonata No. 2 in B Flat Minor, Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Polonaise-Fantaisie, Polonaise in F Sharp Minor, any of the four Ballades, Scherzo No. 3 in C Sharp Minor, Scherzo No. 4 in E Major, Fantaisie in F Minor or Barcarolle

FOURTH CATEGORY

Any solo piano work by Chopin not cited in the previous three categories (for example, Waltzes, Etudes, Preludes, Scherzos, Polonaises, Impromptus, Bolero, Berceuse, Tarantella or any of the lesser known works)


FINALISTS IN BOSTON ON 22 MAY 2010 WILL PERFORM FROM THE SAME REPERTOIRE AS SUBMITTED ON THE CD OR DVD 

THERE IS NO TIME LIMIT FOR THE CD OR DVD

An unedited CD or DVD must be submitted through the post.


Upon receipt of the application form via postal service, with the application fee, or a receipt of payment, the submission will be considered complete.

 

Deadline for submissions: Postmarked no later than 15 April 2010
